Heading to La Costa for the NCAA Division 1 Golf Championships over the next few days. I’ve been consulting with the University of Texas for a few years. Such talented and exceptional young men, an absolute joy to work with. And the winsome coaching staff is a dream team of experience and wisdom that I love being around. It has been one of my favorite consulting jobs in my 42 year career. Such a privilege. It’s probably my last team consulting mission, hopefully it will continue for a few more seasons. I’m slowing down, traveling less, and focused on writing.
Back when I was playing college golf in the 1970s, a team score of even par would win lots of tournaments. Our Texas team just shot 45 under par in the 54 hole regional qualifier to win and advance! These guys are good!
I have just completed my latest book, Raising greatness, and will be submitting it to my designer in the next few weeks. It was a 22 year project in the makings that was prophesied over me in a mountain cabin by a lady named Rebecca. I share that supernatural and powerful story in the book. It should be out this fall.
Between now and then, Karen and I will be spending the summer in our new ministry retreat cabin at the Wilderness Club in Eureka, Montana. We will be hosting friends in ministry for a time of refreshing, renewal, revelation, and heart healing. Like Rebecca and her husband Ron did for us in their cabin so many years ago.
It’s a dream come true for us. And the word Wilderness is poignant as our prayer is that many will step out of a time of being in the Wilderness, and cross over into the promised land. Pray for us as we continue on this sacred journey.
