Why Montana?

Why Montana?

We had just left The Wilderness Club in Eureka, Montana one year ago. Something was stirring in our hearts about the place. Something about the name and remoteness and the people. We had been dreaming together about a mountain cabin for 44 years of our marriage.

Dreaming with God takes you through the hard times of life. Like you, we have had plenty. On this one hour drive back to Whitefish, our base camp at that point, the stirring was deep. Like many times in our life adventure together we just said, “Father give us a sign if we are supposed to pursue building a cabin at the Wilderness Club.”

At that moment we rounded a corner on this curvy two lane road in the middle of a heavenly forrest and witnessed the picture that accompanies today’s blog. At first glance we thought it was a forrest fire but as I pulled off the road we witnessed the most unusual partial rainbow of our lives. An unusual burst of light and color in an otherwise dark and cloudy sky.

We looked at each other with a knowing in our heart that our Father had spoken. He answered our call for a sign. We also knew that the purpose would be eternal and that once again another God adventure was launched. Why Montana you ask? Well, now you know.

Tomorrow we embark on this adventure as we head north to our completed cabin, 10 miles south of the Canadian border where we will spend the next four months seeking His purpose for this dream He put in our hearts so many years ago.

Stay tuned for stories that will come from this sacred journey. And most importantly keep dreaming your God given dreams with an expectant heart. As a close friend once told me, “If your dreams seem crazy, it must be God…”
