Just Because

Our backyard is a sort of bird sanctuary. Every spring we look forward to the rare possibility of the return of the painted bunting. Easily the most uniquely colored bird in North America. It returned recently to our delight. Seeing one up close changes a person. As I watch it I really am in awe of the One who conceived and created it. My thought today is why? Maybe the answer is just because…

Something like this causes a full stop in life, if even for a moment. It causes awe and awe refreshes the soul, it diverts attention away from the agitations and stresses of life, it provides a mental re-set at a moment in time. And in these days I’m assuming most of us are in need of such a moment.

It is a flighty bird and moves quickly. But for a moment I am moved to thank our Father in Heaven for the just because revelations in life. He knew. And so He delivered many glimpses of heaven, just because he knew they would remind us of the truth. He is in control and peace and awe and hope show up as we notice and then thank Him.

Have a beautiful spring day dear friends. Stay in awe.

“With breathtaking wonder, let everyone worship Yahweh, this awe-inspiring Creator. He breathed words and worlds were birthed. “Let there be,” and there it was…” - Psalm‬ ‭33‬:‭8‬-‭9‬ ‭TPT‬‬
