The Entrance

How are your dreams coming along? Those creative visions God has planted in your heart. For some of you, they may have been buried; maybe fear that you couldn’t pull them off. You would be correct in that you can’t pull them off if they are audacious God dreams. But He doesn’t give us dreams to fear; He gives us dreams that can’t come to pass without a miraculous touch from Him. And that is the great adventure.

Today, I’m writing from our 10-acre parcel of land in the “Boot Ranch Valley.” It’s just outside the gate to the amazing Boot Ranch Golf Club near Fredericksburg, Texas, where we produced “Seven Days in Utopia.” Our land is about 400 yards from the scene of the final putt. Karen and I purchased it about 5 years ago. The purchase included an audacious dream to build our ministry retreat house here, a home that would welcome other dreamers on their journey. You see, dreamers often get beat up along the way by the one who comes to kill, steal, and destroy. But God always rescues the dream and dreamers and turns what was meant for harm into good.

We were given Psalms 147:3 as the calling of our land and future home. “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3 NIV

The picture above is the future entrance to this home through the overarching limbs of the oaks. To be in a place to minister healing to other dreamers, first, our hearts had to be healed and wounds bandaged. The past 5 years have been a healing time for our hearts and a time of battling the fear battle with the enemy. God has seen us through as He has for many of you. Our great joy will be to host many dreamers and to call out greatness to all who pass through this entrance one day. Pray for us to usher in this audacious dream with our audacious Father. God bless you all, and never stop dreaming with Him! We will all have great stories to tell.

“Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.”
