Integrous Words
The world has become a cesspool of inconsequential sound bites chummed into the shallows of an unsuspecting humanity. The phrase, “hanging on every word,” has lost its relevance. The road less traveled is less traveled.
Like processed food, words are plentiful but lacking. The heart, the wellspring of life, is nourished by integrous words. Words are treasure.
The great adventure of raising or leading greatness is akin to a treasure hunt for the right words at the right moment. Speaking to, reading to, writing to, singing to, with inspiring words is an intentional calling.
Words have been breadcrumbs on my journey. I’m so thankful for parents, teachers, coaches, preachers, mentors, professors, authors, and friends who have sprinkled the path along the way.
Poetry, lyrics, great books, and speakers provided fertile ground for the words I caught. And I am also thankful for awe experiences like standing at the edge of the north rim of the Grand Canyon, the pinnacle of a fourteener in Colorado, and the shores of the Pacific Ocean feeling the spray of the fierce crashing waves from an impending storm. These filled my well with new adjectives from the creator.
Your words matter today… speak life into and over all who pass your way.
