Give Thanks

The picture above is from Utopia this week.

“…give thanks in all circumstance…” In a thankless world where the media rains down such negativity we have an interesting day—a day called Thanksgiving. It will take some reflection and effort to quiet the relentless noise this week but take it upon yourself, not because of a day, but because of what our Father spoke through Paul in the opening line above. Thanking God shifts the atmosphere and frequency of our lives. It blesses our heart and those around us. It reminds us that we were born at just such a time and we have a calling and purpose in all of the circumstances in which we find ourselves. It’s a mystery from our Father that leads us into a Spirit of peace. I’m thankful for each of you, for breath, and the sunset tonight I see as I write. I’m thankful for the road that lead me to Utopia many years ago and once again this week as I drove there through the fall shades and colors of a glorious autumn. May this week fill you with peace as you approach Thanksgiving. I pray that a piece of Utopia reaches your soul. Until next time…

“give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
‭‭- 1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5‬:‭18‬ ‭NIV‬‬
